This Colors of Speed poster depicts an incomparable green Ferrari 250 GTO. Few cars are held in such high regard as the Ferrari 250 GTO: created between 1962-1964 by a team led by Giotto Bizzarrini, each buyer of the 39 produced had to be personally approved by Enzo Ferrari himself, and today, the prestige has only intensified. The Ferrari 250 GTO took part in some of the most famous races in history: the 24 hours of Le Mans, the Targa Florio and the Tour De France Automobile.
This apple green 250 GTO is the #3505GT chassis. Originally, the car should be delivered new to Sir Stirling Moss. But the British pilot suffered a terrible accident at Goodwood in 1962 and had to give up piloting. Innes Ireland and Gregory Masten participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans that year but had to give up. Ironically, it was at Goodwood that she triumphed, winning the Tourist Trophy.
