Ferrari 412P Poster : The most beautiful race car ever built ?

The Ferrari 412P is a variant of the famous 330 P3 and P4. This was the response of Enzo Ferrari to Ford and its Ford GT40. Humiliated at Le Mans between 1966 and 1969, Ferrari decides to replicate with this central engine prototype. The 412P is in fact the competition version customer, that is to say intended for the private teams. Often considerated as one of the most beautiful racing cars ever built, this Ferrari raced in Daytona in 1967. The North American Racing Team took it to third place behind two offical 330 P4.

This poster presents the prototype in a 3/4 front view. This angle offers one of the best viewpoints to admire the gentle but nevertheless manly curves of this car. 3D technology and archive photos allowed artists to resurrect the details with unprecedented fidelity. One thus guesses the stigmata of the race on the body.
