Japan 76, a legendary Grand Prix.
Before the last race of the World Championship, James Hunt was three points late on Nicki Lauda. Run under heavy rains, the race saw many twists. At the beginning of the second lap, Lauda, still marked by his terrible accident in Nüburing, voluntarily abandoned to expose the safety conditions. James Hunt, waiting for his first coronation, easily wins the race in spite of the heavy rains. But in the last lap he punctures a tyre and had to begin a crazy ascent. On the arrival line, not knowing what position he ended in, he nearly assaulted his sports director Teddy Mayer before he learned he ended third, which resulted in his coronation.
